Seborrheic dermatitis (newborn seborrhea or cradle cap) is a skin disease that mainly affects infants. However, it can also occur in adolescents or adults. In children, cradle cap most often appears on the face and hair, but also in the armpits, groin and skin folds - in places rich in sebaceous glands.

The cause of cradle cap is not obvious, although there are several theories (action of certain yeasts, genetics, breastfeeding), but none has been confirmed yet. Therefore, it is not possible to prevent this problem, it can only be fought if it appears. One of the ways is Babé Cradle Cap Shampoo.

The shampoo is intended for the removal of cradle cap, but with regular use it will also serve well as a prevention. It contains several active ingredients that have a beneficial effect on the scalp, among others, e.g. salicylic acid, calendula, undecyl acid derivatives or Sabal Serrulata plant extract. Folic acid softens the skin and helps remove scales from the skin, Sabal Serrulata plant extract reduces the production of sebum, ichthamol acts against inflammation, itching and bacterial growth. The shampoo has antimicrobial (killing germs) and keratolytic (softening of the horny layer of the skin) effects.

The experience with the shampoo is very good, as evidenced by the number of positive reviews. Parents who tried it confirmed that it really works, but especially with small children, for whom it is primarily intended. After just a few uses, the cradle cap disappears. For adolescents, regular and especially long-term use is necessary, so the effect is not so fast. For small children up to 1 year old, it is recommended to use it 3 times a week, it will not hurt if you alternate Babé shampoo with classic children's shampoo.

Despite the fact that it is not a natural product, Babé shampoo is gentle on children's skin and does not irritate it, mothers also appreciate its delicate scent. The preparation is tested by pediatricians and dermatologists, does not contain preservatives or fragrances and is hypoallergenic. A big plus is that it does not sting the eyes and the child's hair is soft after it. A minor disadvantage, according to parents, is the higher price, but the packaging lasts a long time. Regular use is also necessary, which in our opinion is not a minus, because the baby's hair needs to be washed regularly anyway.
