A baby's movement development is more or less individual, but the essence remains the same - a scheme, or the phases of movement development are the same. It is not only turning, crawling, climbing, sitting, standing and walking, but also such "little things" as turning the head and clenching and unclenching the fist. In the first two months, the baby practices closing and opening its fist, the baby prefers to lie on its back, but also accepts lying on its stomach, turns its head and can gradually raise it. At 3 months, he can already grasp objects, he can hold his head by himself without falling backwards when you pull him to sit by your hands. When lying on the back or stomach, the trunk and limbs, posture are symmetrical.

Bigger movements are visible only in 4-5 months. It is at this age that the baby can turn from back to side in both directions. When lying on his back, he likes to play with his legs, which often leads to rolling to the side. While lying on his stomach, he stretches his arms in front of him, supports himself on his palms and lifts his chest.

He can roll over, i.e. turn from his back to his stomach and vice versa, in both directions, at the age of 5-7 months, before this term it is more likely to be an accidental or unwanted rollover. At this age, he already turns behind toys, tries to bounce and swing if you put his heels on the floor while holding him under his arms. He tries to control the space around him, the need for space increases.

Since babies should fall asleep on their backs, it is natural that they first learn to roll over from their backs to their stomachs, on the contrary, it takes them a little longer. When the child rolls over, you don't have to come back to help the little one at the first failure to roll over. Let him try rolling over on his back for a while so that he doesn't get used to always having to come to his aid when he doesn't know how to roll over. Rolling over while sleeping on the stomach is common and the baby will wake up for a while.

According to several moms, overshooting started around the 5th month, rarely earlier or later. In discussions, they revealed that placing the baby on his stomach during the day will motivate him to roll over.
